Building Together: Cima Celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary

This week, Cima is kicking off 4th of July celebrations as we inch closer to America’s 250th. 250 years have passed since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the establishment of the United States. Through that, we are reminded of how far we have come as a country and the work, dedication, and commitment it takes each individual to achieve collective greatness.

The Cima team wore their red, white and blue; plenty of hot dogs were eaten, and the team planted 250 flags to commemorate the semiquincentennial. Planting 250 individual flags outside of the Cima Headquarters was no easy task. Our team members’ working together, planting the flags, one-by-one, was tedious and served as a reminder of the true scope of a 250 year long timeframe.

It is our hope that not only our team, but those we connect with, the projects we contribute to, and the little moments along the way, remind us how special it is to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. For us, it is simply adding to experiences that last a lifetime. It’s the sign that you pass in the car to remind you that you’re almost to your destination. It is about the atmosphere that reminds you of a long-forgotten memory. Every partnership and project we are able to be a part of is a chance at building stories, fostering nostalgia, and being a small piece of memories that last a lifetime. We believe that memories are made through our communities and paths crossed, and at Cima, we are holding a strong sense of national pride for our small role in America’s journey.

Celebrating this milestone and reflecting on our own contributions to this nation and American Industry has been both exciting and uniting. Community is at the forefront of what it means to be American made. It takes every person to achieve what we have today, and every person to push forward to continue setting the bar higher for ourselves for the 250 that follows.
