Pep Boys is shifting the focus of their storefronts. Once the go-to place, for auto service, tires and parts is dropping the parts and focusing on the service aspect of their business. Leasing their retail space to alternative-use tenants, Pep Boys brought in Cima and CBRE to deliver brand consistency within this unique program.

Having partnered with Pep Boys for over a decade, we have become very familiar with their sites, architecture and building types throughout the United States. We utilized that knowledge to help us proactively overcome challenges and excel within this program.

Understanding their diverse real estate portfolio allowed us to create an effective branding hierarchy to apply consistency throughout the program. We prepared specific mounting systems and training videos to address particular façade types. These foundational steps produced time and cost savings across the program.

Unique permitting challenges are to be expected when two tenants occupy a single storefront. Our thorough code check and permitting process finds and addresses potential branding issues to accommodate both brands.

We proactively provide information to address all stakeholders' needs. Our design team supports site-by-site decisions by creating a Brand Book, a Family of Signs, a Branding Hierarchy, visibility studies, and permit drawings.

We supply our vendors with a custom training video for installing an overlay panel system designed for a specific building façade. This provides clarity and sets expectations, ultimately, delivering more consistency and efficiency throughout the program.
